Editor's Notes

I got to hold Rosie the tarantula at the Buterfly Pavilion. How fun! It was my first time with a tarantula... pretty cool. J wouldn't let me put her on Ben's head though...

While Tim and I were drinking with the baby, Alison, Sara, and Tiffany were nice enough to throw Jeanette a baby shower at Sara and Tim's place! I popped over with Ben for a little bit but it sure looked like they were having fun... they had some great cake, too!

I've spent a ton of time lately working on YakJive, trying to get out some functionality additions before the baby arrives. It's been going well and having Darrell and Steve give me some good feedback has helped.

Jeez... Jeanette's belly is getting really hard. You can touch all sorts of baby parts if you feel around. It's pretty crazy that we're going to have a kid in a few weeks!

I also got another article publshed this week. This one is going to be on the open mapping APIs and the changes in the GIS technology market. That's pretty fun, too.

It's hard to believe we're into the second week in the new year already. Benjamin has about 30 days left to bake in Jeanette's belly. Milo is enjoying the evening walks to the park where we play 'chase the snowballs' because we can't play in the backyard. It's probably good for me as well. The winter weather has been crazy. We've just gone through three snow storms that each left between 8 inches and 2 feet. It shoulds like we're due for another this week.

We've been playing with Benjamin a bit through J's belly. We can tap and he taps back. He almost always seems to rub my hand when I rest it on her skin. Jeanette has found that he dances to headphone music and he seems to sleep through the busiest parts of the day. What we're going to do with him when he arrives... well we'll have to figure that out in a couple of weeks!

This year should see some big changes besides Mr. Benjamin, but we'll have to say more about that stuff later!

As you can see from the photo, everyone is a bit tired out after the holidays. Mom was here, Darrell is still here. It's been busy. It's also hard to believe that it's 2007!
