Bandana's Bar-B-Q

  Bandana's Bar-B-QNovember 01, 2006 22:12

The other night I went with Eric and Noah to try Bandana's Bar-B-Q in Lakewood. The place had the atmosphere of a fast-food restaurant, but the menu had a variety of good choices ranging from BBQ beef, pork, turkey, chicken and sausage to their 'famous' deep fried corn on the cob. No joke. We each selected a three-meat combo plate and were served heaping plates of fries, smoked meat, and french bread. The BBQ at Bandana's is the dry variety. The meat is smoked and then served with a variety of sauces on the side. Bandana's offers two varieties of mustard-based sauce (hot and not-so-hot) and two of tomato-based sauce (hot and sweet). I liked both of the mustard sauces and the smoked meats were extremely tasty. The price wasn't bad either. The plates each cost around $12.

The only bummer of the evening was that during the week, Bandana's closes around 9:00 PM, but at that point in Lakewood, we closed the place down.

If I'm in Lakewood again and hankerin' for a bit of barbequeue, I'll know where to go.
