Today we did a nice hike near Leadville around a man-made reservoir. The hike is easy to get to off of state highway 91. We did a walk around the whole reservoir, cutting through some areas that are now nice wetlands, though were probably originally alpine habitat. The day was really nice for September, cool and sunny. We stopped at the mouth of the lake for a snack and a sit. We saw an odd local fishing for crayfish or something odd. He sure wasn't catching any trout with his technique. His german shepherd was nice, though!
