Benjamin's Story

We ended up putting Ben in daycare for two days so that Jeanette and I could go out snowboarding together.  He was a champ and seemed to tolerate it, but at the end of the trip he cried when we got off a bus at the airport... because we had used a bus both times to go to daycare!

Ben really liked playing in the snow, although it did manage to convince him that it would really be a good idea if he kept his gloves on.  He laughed hysterically when we threw snowballs at him and then we put him on a sled for a few feet of sliding.  Here we're pausing to adjust a mitten.

Here is Ben with me as we're getting ready to go outside and play in the snow.  If I had my snowboarding pants on, we would have matched completely!!!

We went to Denver for Christmas and at the end of a very nice dinner at Tim and Sara's, decided to take a ride by the Denver court building to see the lights.  Ben was quite interested, for about five minutes, until he realized he was exhausted (we didn't get in until 4 AM) and had a meltdown.  It happens.

We took Benjamin to see Santa and, as you can see, this year he was terrified!  Sounds like perfectly normal behavior for a little boy about to enter his terrible twos.

Happy 80th Birthday to Granny, too!!!!

Here's Ben in his new firetruck from Paul and Sue.  He definitely knew how to get in and start playing right away!

Here I am, helping Ben set up a new train set.  He loves to sit in the middle of the track and push the trains around and around.

Benjamin got some help and many presents from Grandma.  Here he is playing with his new potato head guys!

We had Christmas a little early while we were with Grandma.  Benjamin definitely got into opening his presents this year!

Here's the cute little boy all bundled up to head out to school.  It's been cooooold here lately!

We walked around downtown for a day and checked out the lights.  That's also when we went to see Santa.  Ben's getting really good, walking around with us and pointing out every light that he sees.  It's one of his favorite words and he uses it repeatedly!

I brought back this harmonica for Benjamin from Austria and it's one of the best presents I could have gotten him.  He plays with it nearly every day and loves it when I take another one and sit with him and play around.  Funny kid!!!!
