Benjamin's 2nd cousin, Catherine Harrison, sent him this adorable friend. I think it's pretty cute that his first smiles arrived the same day as Ellie!!! Thanks very much, Auntie Catherine.

Benjamin, I am so glad you`ve made friends with Ellie! I hope she enjoyed the long air journey to get to you all the way from England. Keep on smiling little guy.
Lots of love to you, Mom and Dad.

Something's cooking in the kitchen... could it be more formula? Ben eats almost a 1/2 gallon of the stuff a day! He's like one of those African animals that eats its weight in bugs each day. Hopefully he won't be eating too many bugs when he gets older!
If you can believe it... Ben has a hernia! The poor guy has to go in for surgery next week... and start physical therapy for a weak neck. I think that's probably because his head is so huge! But who knows. Apparently the hernia is not uncommon in little guys like him and is easily fixed. We'll see next week!
Hi Ben You are so cute. Tell Mom or Dad to email us after you surgery and keep us up to date on everything. I am still looking at toys and clothes for you so mom can let me know what size and what kind of toys to get you. We love you Ben.

It actually looks like we're going to wait till Ben is 4 months old to have the surgery. They like the lower risks during anesthesia then.

We try to give Ben some play mat time every day. He really doesn't like being on his tummy, but once he's on his back, he can easily spend between 5 and 15 minutes looking around at the lights and the toys.
We went up to the condo this weekend and had a nice time. Noah, Diana, Kelvin, and Maxwell joined us for the day on Saturday and I got to go snowboarding in the nice Spring conditions.
Ben did well in the condo and didn't seem to mind the altitude. We did have to make an emergency run for formula as we didn't have enough, but all in all, it went well.
Noah, Diana, and the boys joined us last weekend for the day in Breckenridge. We had a nice time with them and the boys were all very good. Here's a photo of Jeanette, Diana, Max, and Ben (unseen) outside the brewery.
Ben is just too cute in this little outfit that we found for him. Jeanette said it was appropriate because her mother used to dress her up in outfits like this till she was well into school.
We took Ben to the Breckenridge Brewery for St. Pat's day! He was pretty good, though he got hungry. He didn't get any green beer, though mom did!

Ben is definitely starting to outgrow his outfits. He used to be swamped in this one! Pretty soon we'll have to break into the closet downstairs for the 3-6 month items!
It's hard to believe that at 6 weeks old, Ben is starting to grow out of some of his tiny-miny clothes. He was so cute in that Giggle Saurus shirt, too! He had a rough couple of days and seems to have had a growth spurt of an inch or more in wingspan in just a weekend. Suddenly, we don't have to fold over the cuffs of his onesies any more.
Looking back, it's hard to believe that just a few weeks ago I could tuck him into the fold of my shirt and carry him around. He'd be a bit cramped in those quarters today! Although I'll miss having a tiny little guy around, I'll be glad when his tummy is big enough to hold some real quantities of food!

Lots of love to you, Mom and Dad.
