Benjamin did very well on rice cereal. He got the hang of it pretty quickly and started trying to handle the spoon almost right away. We tried the trick of giving him another spoon to hold, but he would try to shove that in his mouth, too. It was just too difficult and we just try to jockey him into position so that he can't get his little hands in the way of the food!
Ben was very good for Danielle, laughing at her one time pretty hard and then allowing her to feed him just fine. I think she was happy to hold the little guy!
Benjamin started sleeping in his crib because he outgrew the bassinet. As you can see... it's more like a playpen. He seems pretty content in it and has seemed to be sleeping a bit longer. It also helps that mom started feeding him cereal. Hungry little bugger.

Jesse, Ben and Chris
Chris got a new car so that he can move to California in style. Here's Chris with Ben and Jesse on the first real trip in the new car! We were headed down to Garden of the Gods.
Ben got some new toys, including this pully-thing that he has fun with in his car seat. Too bad he's outgrowing this car seat! We're going to have to get him something with a roll bar to hang these things!
Benjamin's aunt Danielle, uncle Lance, and cousin Jesse came for a visit. This was Lance's first time to Colorado and it was everyone's first time seeing Benjamin. The little guy was well behaved for them and allowed us to go on some pretty long car rides to Garden of the Gods and up Trail Ridge Road in Rocky Mountain National Park. We had fun!
Ben is good at sleeping sometimes. He just won't sleep through the night yet. But we're getting there.
He's been getting much better with his hands... grabbing his toys, our hands, and anything else in reach. He's also been pulling more things toward his mouth. He's getting there!
