Of course, we brought Ben's comfy car seat all the way from Denver so that he could ride in style. We had a good time in San Francisco. I mostly worked and Jeanette drove around looking at neighborhoods. It was a good prep trip to see how well Ben would travel, because the next week we went to Alberta!
Ben and Jeanette joined me in San Francisco for the week. Ben was great in the airport and on the plane, except for the 2 hour wait that they made us have while sitting in the plane at the gate. That was hard on the little guy.
Ben has gotten quite interactive. He'll spend long periods studying your hands, his hands, your face, the pattern on his burp cloth... and on and on. He's quite smiley, too. He loves physical attention, especially getting tossed in the air and he can be quite ticklish, too.
Benjamin went in for his hernia surgery today and all went well. He's doing very well now... not too grumpy and his usual hungry self. Two people at the hospital commented that it doesn't look like he misses too many meals! What are they trying to tell us?
In fact, tonight was his first time with squash and it seemed to go over a whole lot better than rice cereal. He's a pretty funny little kid!
Diana loaned us Eric and Catherine's exersaucer for Ben. He's just got such a little rascal face. He's getting bigger all the time. The exersaucer, plus some upcoming stroller time, really helped get his neck a bit stronger.
One of Jeanette's coworkers gave Ben an Eeyore doll. It's one of his favorites... either to chew on or to cover his eyes as he's falling asleep. They're pretty cute together!
