Benjamin joined us at the Stampede in Calgary, but he didn't really enjoy all the noise and commotion. Even though he saw cows, horses, donkeys, and herding dogs, I think he'd have rather had his nap!
We saw lots and lots of canola flowering when we were up in Alberta, including some right on Norman and Murray's farm. It was very pretty, though Benjamin is still not sure if yellow is his color!
Jeanette's aunt and uncle, Hazel and Norman, and her cousin, Lorraine, were very happy to get to spend time with us. We had a very nice time with them as well. They made lots of good food (lots of it!) and we all enjoyed the great weather.
Ben didn't seem to have any signs of hay fever in the barn with the kittens, chickens, dogs, cows, sheep, and donkey. He was quite interested to study all the little animals... especially the kittens who weren't much bigger than his stuffed toys.
Benjamin settled in quite well to life on the farm with his cousins in Alberta. He loved the regular schedule and sitting outside in the nice weather. He even loved sucking on a fresh strawberry from the garden. Spoiled little guy...

Sacked Out Kid
We had a late flight to Calgary, that ended up being even later, so Benjamin ended up crashing out on this airport seat. If only we could all be that little! There have been many times when I've wanted to sleep like that.
As you can see, he loves having his little puppy blanket over his eyes when he's sleeping. I believe his auntie Danielle gave him that.
