On an exceptionally warm day, we drove up the coast to go to the beach in Sonoma County and had a great time. Ben LOVES the beach and we spent several hours just hanging out and enjoying the sun and the waves. The crazy thing was that 10 minutes north, it had been too cold at one of the other beaches to get out of the car!
We took a drive to get out of the house and went to this playground near downtown San Rafael. Ben enjoyed bouncing along, then climbing all around the playhouse nearby. He even enjoyed throwing wood chips on himself!
On dad's insistence, we finally went in and trimmed that bird's nest that Benjamin called his hair... or rather that his mom called his hair. We went to a special place for kids and Ben did great, playing with toys and seeming not really to notice all the attention.
Benjamin got to try his first lollypop after his trip to the barber. He liked it very much... and he liked to stick it in and out of my mouth! What a goofball.
Benjamin got to pick a fish out of a little water game and won a froggy toy. As you can see, by this time in the day, he was pretty tired out. But... over a month later and he still loves his froggy!
While we were at the San Mateo County Fair, Ben got to take his first ride on a ferris wheel. Jeanette was a little nervous, but he loved it. He kept pointing at everything and looked under the bar to check me out.
Ben got to pet his first bunny at the San Mateo county fair. We had a good day, though Ben was a bit tired out becuase he had a bit of a cold. They had a whole bunch of chickens and bunnies and Ben thought they were pretty interesting.
Here's a cute photo of Ben and Chris at the park. We took a drive around that day, sampling a few different parks in the Corte Madera area. It was a nice day for it!
Here's Ben walking with his Tonka truck from Paul and Sue. He 'trucks' right along with it. On this particular day, he used it to walk about two blocks.
