Leaving Denver for Spain

We started out bright and early so that we could drop off Milo at his favorite temporary residence, Shylo Country Club for Dogs. He seemed as happy as ever to be there and we headed back to the airport. It was easy enough to get through check in and we stopped for our customary breakfast burrito before getting on the plane. The plane rides were uneventful except that Jeanette lost her Blackberry getting off the plane in Philadelphia. Well... I guess that's what her work gets for wanting her to bring it on vacation in the first place! It wasn't intentional, but there's just too much to keep track of on vacation. In Philly, we boarded our flight to Madrid and were off to Europe!
(A note from Chris: I was fairly under the weather in the several weeks leading up to our trip. Consequently, our journal was mostly brief notes and collected receipts for the first few days of the trip until I began feeling better. As you proceed through the articles in this travelogue, you'll find that they will probably become progressively more detailed. If you have any questions about some of the things that we may have seen, eaten, or experienced during the first part of the trip, just ask! Thanks for reading the site!)
