Last weekend we went down to St. Pete to visit my family and we spent an evening up in Tarpon Springs. Tarpon Springs is an old sponge fishing town that has a heavy Greek influence.

We stayed at the Spring Bayou Inn, a B&B near the cathedral. At $129, we found it to be overpriced. The bathroom needed updating and the breakfast was not so gourmet, but it wasn't bad. The couple who runs it could do some minor things to update it and earn the price.

We ate at a great little restaurant on Dodecanese Blvd called Mykonos. We had flaming saganaki, grilled octopus, and a whole snapper. It was delicious and a great value, given how much we ate.

The next day we visited Honeymoon Island and collected shells. We also saw several pods of dolphins hunting in the surf. Pretty cool!
