Chris got to visit Shanghai in 2008 and saw the 2nd and 6th tallest buildings in Shanghai, the Shanghai World Financial Building and the Jin Mao Tower. The restaurant in the Grand Hyatt, 1/2 way up the Jin Mao Tower, has a great view, too!...

Tarpon Springs, Florida

Last weekend we went down to St. Pete to visit my family and we spent an evening up in Tarpon Springs. Tarpon Springs is an old sponge fishing town that has a heavy Greek influence.
We stayed at the Spring Bayou Inn, a B&B near the cathedral. At $129, we found it to be overpriced. The bathroom needed updating and the breakfast was not so gourmet, but it wasn't bad. The couple who runs it could do some minor things to update it and earn the price.
We ate at a great little restaurant ...

Walt Disney Concert Hall by Frank Gehry

Today I had some extra time after a business meeting in Los Angeles, so I headed downtown to check out the Frank Gehry building. The Walt Disney Concert Hall is definitely a fantastic sight to behold. The spiral staircase over the building was an incredibly interactive touch, as was the garden on the West side of the building. I took more photos of the building than I can possibly post here....

City of Rocks, Idaho

In 2005, Noah and Diana took me on a fantastic trip to the City of Rocks in Idaho. The views and terrain were fantastic. I learned a ton, babysat Mr. Kelvin, took an amazing fall, and lived to tell the tale!
The worst was that the night I got home, I nearly killed myself in the shower when I slipped and fell against the glass door, shattering it into a million pieces....
